Julie was on a roll.
“I mean, what if he did marry someone
else and then she died?” Her eyes widened and he mouth began to open, there was
deep intake of breath.
“What if he got rid of her?”
Julie’s eye were popping as she pursued
her theme with enthusiasm. “I mean, maybe she was rich and he wanted her money.
We’ll have to check that out. Or maybe he found out she was already cheating on
him. Or maybe she knew a secret about him and, and …. and maybe they had a
fight and he killed her. Oh, God, perhaps she’s buried in the garden! I might
have walked over her!”
