Isn't it wonderful to see the sun? And white tulips, daffs and bulbs popping up from the ground? It's Spring - hooray!! And thanks to JJ for reminding us that the April poetry month is round the corner - so we are getting ready -
Sharpen the pencil, sharpen the mind
honed to perfection, a verse refined.
from notion to solution
lonely idea into verbal diarrhoea!
Turn thoughts to verse, epic or limerick
an ode heavy duty or couplet glimmer slick -
whether ballad or ballast - bring us stability and balance.
Words that move us, words that soothe
Words of fiction, words of truth
Words of wisdom challenging the symptom
Words that won't come resisting the system.
Writer's block or speller's shell shock
- don't put it off, don't be afraid
- don't just scoff, don't be a fraud,
write down your thoughts, so we understand
share your fears and hopes, publish and be dammed.
