Will you take the challenge? |
November 1-30 • The world needs your novel.
So this is how it works, I am just the person that handles the technology for LINES Publications. Last year, just as we were embarking on the LINES adventure I challenged Linda, one of the Directors, to write a novel and I registered her last year. Ok, I didn't give her very much warning and she had a holiday booked and lots of other events in her diary, the novel did not get started however she agreed that 2013 was to be the year when the novel would be written.I registered her for this year and the challenge now begins.
During NaNoWriMo, Linda must write 50,000 words in the 30 days of November. The challenge may be hard, but the logistics are not! Here, let us guide you through ‘em.
1. At midnight on November 1, start writing. Work on your manuscript using any method where you can track your word count. Word-processing program, notebook, typewriter, stone slab: they all work.
2. Starting on November 25, Linda can validate her novel to win. If it’s over 50,000 words, paste the text into the word-count validator.
1,667 words a day for 30 Days.
We will publish the completed Novel early in 2014.
As Linda works through the month we will keep you in touch through the blog and look forward to receiving your comments. Words of encouragement gratefully received.
