In times of yore, they took the spore
My soil they toiled to take away.
Markets were small and fitted
Knitted into our lives.
These days its containers and packaging
Plastic trays and lots of wrapping,
Around goods and food from markets Super
Separate, lifeless, torpor.
And so the day continues on
For our bin man, is that PC?
Does gender enter this domain
Of throwaway plastics and beef chow mein?
